Chris Gaffney is the Owner and Founder of LifeCare Mobility Solutions, a Toronto-based home accessibility and mobility solutions provider established in 2010. He founded the company with a clear mission: to give clients independence, safety, and peace of mind through high-quality mobility equipment and personalized service.

Inspired by firsthand experience navigating the challenges of securing mobility equipment for his own father, Chris built LifeCare Mobility on a client-first philosophy. Today, he leads a dedicated team serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area with straight, curved, and outdoor stairlifts, porch lifts, and other mobility and accessibility solutions. Every recommendation is tailored through no obligation, in-home consultations to ensure the right fit for each client’s home, safety needs, and long-term independence.

Chris brings a strong academic and technical background to his work. He earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Information Technology from the Information Technology Institute in Toronto in 2000, graduating as Class Valedictorian. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Anthropology & Psychology from Trent University (1988). 

During 1986 and 1987, Chris participated in a CIDA-funded international development exchange in Cochabamba, Bolivia as a Development Volunteer with Canada World Youth. During this time, he taught English, co-founded a successful community food cooperative, and became proficient in Spanish. This experience reinforced his lifelong commitment to service, community engagement, and meaningful impact.

Through LifeCare Mobility’s educational blog and community outreach efforts, Chris regularly shares insights on stairlifts, home accessibility, and aging-in-place solutions. He also engages with the mobility community on various social media platforms, where he shares updates on installations, new products, and industry developments in the GTA.
